Official Contest Rules
No Purchase Necessary To Enter or Win.
Void In CA & Where Prohibited By Law.
Eligibility: The Miller Lite Go Pro Challenge (“Contest”) is open to male legal residents of the United States (other than residents of CA), who are 21 years of age or older at time of entry. Residents of CA may participate in the Promotion, but will not be eligible to win any prizes. Employees, officers, directors, representatives, agents and assignees of NBA Development League, LLC. (“Sponsor”), NBA Properties, Inc., NBA Media Ventures, LLC, the NBA and its member teams, Miller Brewing Company, and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, governors, owners, distributors, retailers, advertising/promotion agencies, and Project Support Team, Inc. (“P/S/T”) (collectively, “Released Parties”), and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and/or those living in the same household of any such individual, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win. All applicable federal, state & local laws & regulations apply.
To Entry: Submit an original Video of no more than (3) minutes in length highlighting your basketball skills (“Entry”). There are two ways to submit an Entry, between 12:00:00AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on 6/5/07 & 11:59:59PM ET on 7/9/07 (“Promotion Period”): 1.) Online: Visit NBA.com/gopro, complete the Official Online Entry Form and upload your video in accordance with the instructions provided; or 2.) Onsite: Attend an NBA Development League event during the Promotion Period, complete the Official Entry Form and while onsite film an Entry and Video with the NBA Development League representatives at the event. There is a limit of one Entry per person, regardless of method of entry. Additional entries received from any one person or e-mail address during this Contest will be void. Video must be your original work. Noncompliance with foregoing may result in disqualification. Released Parties reserve the right to edit the Videos for posting on gopro.nba.com as it deems necessary in its sole discretion & Entrants’ acknowledge & agree that Released Parties shall not be responsible for any alleged consequences of such editing. The use of any device to automate the entry process is prohibited and any such entries will be void. Other than for prize notification or for promotional emails, neither Sponsor, nor anyone acting on its behalf, will enter into any communications with any Entrant regarding this contest or acknowledge any entry not meeting all entry requirements stated herein & such entries will be disqualified. Entries that are deemed by the judges in their sole discretion to be immoral, obscene, profane or not in keeping with Sponsor’s image or in violation of these rules will be void. Released Parties are not responsible for incomplete, lost, late, illegible, inaccurate, delayed, undelivered or misdirected entries (or any component thereof), inaccurate contest related information provided by Sponsor or for interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections, miscommunications, computer or software malfunctions or telephone line or transmission problems or technical failures, garbled transmissions, damage to a user's computer equipment (software or hardware) or other errors or malfunctions of any kind whether caused by equipment, programming used in this Contest, mechanical, electronic or human error or otherwise relating to or in connection with the contest, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the processing or judging of entries, the taping of Onsite entries, the announcement of the prizes or in any Contest-related materials. Released parties reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to void suspect entries or to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend entry submission should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest &, in the event of such cancellation, suspension or termination, at its discretion, determine the winners from all eligible non-suspect entries received prior to event requiring cancellation, termination or suspension using the judging criteria stated herein. By participating, Entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules & the decisions of the Sponsor and judges, which shall be final & binding.
Judging: There will be a total of (30) Grand Prize winners. (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected online based on Peer Voting and the remaining (29) Grand Prize winners will be selected by an official judging panel (see below for details). (1) potential Grand Prize winner will be selected by Peer Voting. All eligible Entries received will be posted online for peer voting. To vote for the Entrant who you believe best exemplifies a NBA Development League (“D-League”) basketball player, judge the submitted video of each by visiting NBA.com/gopro between 12:00:00PM ET on 6/5/07 and 11:59:59 PM ET on 7/9/07 and follow the instructions provided. Limit (1) vote per person and per email address. Multiple votes received from any person or email address or generated by script, macro or other automated means or with the intent to affect the integrity of the peer voting process will be void. The Entrant that receives the highest number of votes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will be deemed a potential Grand Prize winner. Potential Grand Prize Winner via Peer Voting will be determined on/about 7/11/07. In the event of a tie, such tied Entries will be judged by a “tie-breaking” judge on the criteria set forth below to determine the Grand Prize winner. (29) potential Grand Prize winners will be selected on or about 7/11/07 from among all eligible remaining eligible entries received, based on the following criteria,: 1) Demonstration of Entrant’s potential to play on the D-League: 0-30 points; 2) Entrant’s level of Athleticism: 0-30 points; & 3) Entrant’s overall Performance: 0-40 points. Prizes will be awarded to the top (29) Entrants earning the highest number of points., as determined by Sponsor The official judging panel, will consist of qualified representatives designated by Sponsor, whose decisions will be final & binding in all matters relating to this Contest. In the event of a tie, such tied entries will be re-judged based on Entrant’s Overall Performance 0-100 points. Sponsor reserves the right to not award any prize or all prizes if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible & qualified entries.
(30) Grand Prizes: 3-day/2-night trip for one to participate in the D-League try-out camp in Dallas, TX between 7/27/07 and 7/29/07 consisting of round-trip coach air transportation from major airport nearest to winner’s residence in the U.S., standard hotel accommodations (one (1) room), and ground transportation to/from the airport and the applicable hotel (Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”)=$1,000). Actual prize value will vary depending on winners’ cities of departure. Travel & hotel arrangements to be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion and must be made through Sponsor’s agent. Winners are responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents. Trip must be taken on dates & times designated by Sponsor or prize will be forfeited in its entirety. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to provide ground transportation in place of air transportation if winner lives within a reasonable driving distance of Dallas, TX and no compensation or substitution will be provided for difference in prize value. If any prize-related activity(s) is canceled or postponed for any reason, travel prize will be awarded less applicable prize-related activity(s) & Sponsor will substitute that activity(s) with an item(s)/activity(s) of comparable or greater value as determined solely by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to remove or to deny entry to any winner who engages in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at any event. Prize details are at Sponsor's sole discretion. All additional ground transportation, meals, gratuities, service charges or other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being awarded are the responsibility of the winners. Total ARV of all prizes=$30,000. All applicable federal, state & local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners.
Miscellaneous: No transfer, assignment, or substitution of prizes except by Sponsor who may substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. The potential Grand Prize winners will be notified by telephone &/or overnight mail &/or mail and will be required to execute & return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability & (where legal) Publicity Release within 2 days of date of issuance of notification. Noncompliance with the foregoing, with these rules, Sponsor’s inability to contact a potential winner within a reasonable time period or any notification being returned as non-deliverable, may result in disqualification & a runner-up Entrant being chosen at Sponsor’s discretion. By entering, each Entrant warrants & represents that his entry submitted does not defame or otherwise violate the rights of any third party & does not violate any federal, state or local laws or ordinances. Entrants further warrant & represent that (1) they have secured the requisite consent from any third party captured in their entry (including, but not limited to, any company or other third party trademarks or logos) &, if their entry is a prize winner, agree to provide legal releases for the use of such image in a form satisfactory to judges; (2) that Sponsor shall own the Video (& all material embodied therein); & (3) that by entering, the Entrant irrevocably assigns to Sponsor & its designees any & all rights, title & interest in the entry including but not limited to all copyright or intellectual property rights; & (4) that Sponsor & its designees shall have, without limitation, the perpetual, right worldwide to edit, adapt, modify, publish, exploit & use the entries in any way & in any media now or hereafter known (including on Sponsor’s website) for trade, advertising, promotional &/or other purposes as Sponsor &/or its designees may determine without further permission, notification or consideration to Entrants, or any third parties. Entrants further agree that (1) entry (& all components thereof) will not be returned; (2) Released Parties & their designees shall have the right & permission to use (unless prohibited by law) Entrants’ name, voice, city & state of residence, photograph &/or likeness for advertising &/or trade &/or any other purpose in any media now or hereafter known without further compensation, permission, authorization or notification to Entrant & (3) the Released Parties shall have no liability & will be held harmless by Entrant for any liability, loss, injury or damage to participants or any other person or entity, including personal injury or death to participants or any other person or damage to personal or real property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of Entrants’ participation in this contest, the use of any entry or any of the rights granted herein or the acceptance and/or use of any prize (including any travel or activity related thereto) or use of any of the rights granted herein. By accepting prize, Winners agree that Released Parties shall have no liability & will be held harmless for any liability, loss, injury or damage, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of Winners’ acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto). Released Parties are not responsible for any inability of the winners to accept a prize & reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify or eliminate winners.
